Sustainability at Riderman

With sporting support from our sustainability partnerBad Dürrheim mineral fountain!

We love nature and cycling. Together with our sustainability partner Bad Dürrheimer Mineralbrunnen, we are therefore preparing RAD DM 2023 for the best possible “green cyclists’ legs”. We attach particular importance to other almost exclusively regional partners and Sponsors, who are also committed to sustainable and ecological work.

In general, we source all products, goods and services in the best possible way according to the motto "from the region - for the region!"

The spectators are catered for reusable cups and recyclable PET bottles instead of. When it comes to catering, this is generally the case Avoiding waste in the foreground. The remaining minimal and unavoidable waste is separated and then sorted recycling carried out.

RiderMan has been around for years no disposable cups more. In the start and finish area, drinks will only be filled into the drinking bottles the participants have brought with them. The drinking bottles are rinsed and reinserted after each stage. There are also on the race track designated garbage areas and only there are drivers allowed to dispose of empty drinking bottles and packaging.

Printed Advertising Materials are on reduced to a minimum. On general Flyers and Disposable items we have completely waived. In addition, they are Promotional materials throughout the start/finish area reusable and a long life in their destiny. All advertising materials are generally used at several events and are designed to be used for many years.

We also have one at the race track ecological project brought to life. Together with one local beekeepers was located on the outskirts of Pfohren Beehive and bee colonies installed and financed by us.

Our bee project in Pfohren

The popular RiderMan, a cycling event for everyone in Bad Dürrheim that has been established since 2000 and is directed by Sauser Event GmbH from Villingen-Schwenningen, has decided, together with Bad Dürrheimer Mineralbrunnen, to become more committed to environmental and nature conservation. Under the motto "Sport and nature in harmony", the two long-standing partners want to emphasize the connection between cycling and protecting the environment and actively contribute to preserving nature for future generations. The unity of sport and nature is deeply rooted, because our lifestyle is inextricably linked to the environment. The two companies are therefore pleased to announce a commitment in the form of a joint bee project along the RiderMan route.

Hobby beekeeper Robert Hasenfratz from Pfohren will look after the bee colonies that are located directly on the RiderMan route. Bees play a crucial role in pollinating plants and maintaining biodiversity. Creating a thriving biotope near the route not only provides a habitat for bees, but also highlights the importance of pollinators to our ecosystems.

In this context, a special edition of “RiderMan Honey” is being prepared for the next RiderMan edition from September 22nd to 24th, 2023. The nectar collected by the bees is processed into a unique honey that not only reflects the taste of the region, but also also stands for community commitment and environmental protection. RiderMan honey will be available during the event and the proceeds from sales will flow into other nature conservation projects.
